Here at Haberdasherylondon we are deeply in love with this story and looking forward to having a ver good and very long play with these and some lights one day soon!

We had the distinct pleasure of meeting up with the great people at Stella McCartney.  What did we talk about?  Vegas Baby! (We’re told that’s the way you have to say it) and we talked about the future.   Their offices are furiously busy!  It was a true pleasure to see the inner workings of such a respected fashion brand.  We look forward to working together.

All of us here at HAB have been giddy with excitement over this video showing the properties of Quantum Locking.  We downed tools for a good hour watching this video and theorising over the physics that define this phenomenon.  None of us really came very close to the actual explanation… Watch the WHOLE video, and read on…

Working with Chris Levine Hab worked furiously over the course of about 24 hours to produce a 3.2m tall Chris Levine digital artwork for the GreenPeace field at Glastonbury 2011.  Some of us from Hab attended this years epic festival and came back well sun burnt and slightly dazed, both of which we are only now recovering from.  We’re not the first to say it, but Glastonbury is like none other.  Without a doubt, the greatest music festival on earth!

Chris Levine is having an outstanding year, and we’re glad to be helping him design and engineer his spectacular works.  His most recent success is on exhibition at the Museum of Art and Design within their Otherworldly show.  Our heartfelt congratulations go out to Chris.  Stay tuned though, many MANY big things to come from him this year, especially if you live in NY or the UK!

It’s a unique atmosphere right now at HAB.  Everyone is working together to birth 4 new lighting commissions.  The design is complete, the parts are in, and each is being built at this very moment in our studio.  So far, everything is coming together flawlessly.  Stay tuned for some glorious photos of the finished works.

CRYSTAL SHIP

It was a hot summer day, we were searching for a powder coated equivalent to a blasted stainless steel finish, you know, but with more of a satin surface to it, like the kind that is actually imposible to get from stainless steel.  That’s when, after a long chain of phone calls to suppliers, we landed on Lustre Coatings. They gave us satin stainless steel, and they are meticulous!  They work for Lotus Racing, they work for Tesla Motors, and now they work for HAB!
